Brenda Mitchell’s lifelong artistic endeavours include printmaking (etching), botanical art (watercolour and graphite), and landscape painting. Her artworks are intended to bring attention to the beauty of the natural world around us. Brenda’s first show, at Hart House, University of Toronto, was work done using the print studio at the Dundas Valley School of Art. Her art has been exhibited by the Botanical Artists of Canada and in 2018 her graphite work Yellow Birch received a People’ s Choice Award. More recently she exhibited in the 2025 Botanical Arts Worldwide, and the Glenhyrst Art Gallery Juried Exhibition. Brenda was the editor of the quarterly newsletter of the Botanical Artists of Canada from June 2018 through September 2021.
